Like-minded fun

I'm here at Coady on a short break before we go to Mo's (the delicious student cafeteria) for dinner. We just spent the whole day doing "cultural competence" building. Sort of makes for a long day with my short attention span, but I absolutely love the people I'm with. Everyone has amazing experiences in their background to learn from, and I am inspired by their aspirations. We've had some great group discussions about really interesting topics, and I'm thrilled by everything I'm learning. I had a moment yesterday in the Coady library where I was like "OMG I LOVE THIS STUFF!!". It reassures me that this is where I need to be.

The Preparations

I thought I should get this whole blog thing up and running before having to rely on dialup. I hope that this site can provide all of you who will be so far away from me some insight into what exactly it is I'll be doing in Rwanda. Stay tuned for great stories of grand adventure! For now, I must locate my plug adaptor in this chaotic room of mine. T-minus 4 sleeps until training starts at Coady in Antigonish!
